Who You’re Dealing With

Your quotation names Mortaro Group and your main contractor. Here is who each is, what they do, and why it works this way.

The short version

Two companies. One clear arrangement.

Most people who arrive on this page have a quotation from us that also names another company as the main contractor. That is exactly how the arrangement works, and it takes a minute to explain.

Mortaro Group coordinates your project and is your point of contact throughout. An independent contractor from our network carries out the work.

Who does what

The three parties to your project

You

You deal with us for everything: questions, timings, paperwork and updates, from first call to completion.

Mortaro Group

We appoint your contractor from our network, arrange the site visit, prepare your quotation, keep you updated and administer the payments.

Your main contractor

An independent company from our network, named in your quotation. They carry out the work, hold the insurance and provide the workmanship warranty. Your construction contract is with them.

Why it is set up this way

Each company does the part it is best at

Good contractors are very good at the work and rarely set up for everything around it: answering calls mid-job, writing up quotations, organising start dates, chasing payments. So we run that part.

You get one organised point of contact instead of chasing a builder. Your contractor stays on the tools and is paid promptly. And because contractors in our network price at trade rates, your quotation is comparable to going to a contractor directly, with the coordination included.
