Why Use Mortaro
A checked contractor, named before you commit. One point of contact throughout. And a price comparable to going direct.
Why Mortaro
A checked contractor, a clear quotation, and someone who always answers.
Getting building work done well means more than picking a good contractor. Somebody has to check them, book them, get a proper quotation out of them, agree a start date, keep in touch while the work happens and handle the payments.
That is the part we run. Your contractor, from our network, does the work itself, and you have one organised point of contact from the first call to the finished job.

Where the work sits
Clear about who does what
We coordinate; your contractor builds. Your construction contract, the public liability insurance and the workmanship warranty are all with your contractor, who is named in your quotation.
We will not claim to be the cheapest, because anyone can be undercut. What we offer is a checked contractor, a clear quotation, and somebody organised standing between you and the job.
Straight answers
Questions people ask at this point
Why not just go to a contractor directly?
You can, and plenty of people do. It means checking contractors yourself, chasing site visits and quotes, agreeing dates and handling payments. We do that part, and because contractors in our network price at trade rates, it does not add a separate cost.
Does using Mortaro cost more?
There is no separate coordination fee. Your quotation is comparable to going to a contractor directly, with the coordination included.
What kind of projects do you coordinate?
Most of our current work is roofing, skylights and rooflights, and larger domestic projects such as extensions. The coordination runs the same way whatever the job, so if yours is something else, ask.
What if something needs putting right?
Tell us. The warranty is your contractor's, and we chase it for you, escalating until it is resolved. Contractors who fail to put things right are removed from our network.
